I have several large Tiles by Ferreira da Silva along with many earthenware jugs, cups, and vases. They were imported in the 1960's to the United States and kept in the family. Is there much interest in Azulejo de Ferreira da Silva's work today? Alicia.firstname.lastname@example.org
There is a specific interest in the Secla's studio production (not the regular production) among collectors, particularly after the closing of the factory.
Ferreira da Silva joined the factory in 1954 and left in 1970. In the meantime, he exhibited in NYC, in 1960, a city where Secla presented a large selection of its production during the 1964 World's Fair.
Tiles are not in great demand, if compared to more scarce studio items, such as vases, sculptures, or even lamp bases.
